Nastaran Tajeri-Foumani is a film and cultural worker, systemic therapist, curator, and DAW-consultant. Nastaran has been involved in the Berlin cinema scene since 2001, serving as manager at Freiluftkino Kreuzberg for 17 years and as a moderator for Berlinale Panorama for over a decade. Since 2015, Nastaran has taken on several roles at the XPOSED Queer Film Festival Berlin, contributing to the Short Film Fund and festival programming. Since 2019, Nastaran has served on the festival’s board and co-created and co-curated the first XPOSED Pop-Up Campus in 2023. Outside of Berlin, Nastaran has curated for international festivals such as Oslo Fusion and Grimstad Kortfilmfestivalen. As a systemic therapist and DAW (Diversity, Awareness and Wellbeing) consultant, Nastaran bridges the gap between creative production and mental health. From training BKM film juries to developing Codes of Conduct for film sets, Nastaran’s work focuses on fostering sustainable, power-critical and discrimination-sensitive environments across the cinematic landscape.
