Ceren Saner
Ceren Saner (she/her) is a self-taught lens-based artist whose work centers queer and diasporic narratives across photography, moving image, installation, and community-based projects. Through socio-autobiographical storytelling, she explores the visibility and opacity of intimacy and kinship.
Her works function as visual notes, fragments of encounters and emotions that resist closure. Community building is central to her practice, both in her image-making and in her work as a cultural producer.
Her work has been exhibited internationally at venues including Alte Münze Berlin, Angel Orensanz Foundation (NYC), Apartment Project Berlin, Art Basel Miami, fluctoplasma festival, Galerie im Saalbau, the Louvre Museum, Millerntor Gallery, and SALT Galata, among others. It is part of the collection of the Schwules* Museum in Berlin, as well as private collections in Istanbul, Berlin, and Cologne.
In 2024, she was awarded first place in the Neuköllner Kunstpreis in Berlin for her ongoing body of work Inside The Ring. She is currently developing her first film script, expanding her exploration of diasporic memory, queer futurity, and the possibilities of representation in fiction.
Alongside her artistic practice, she works as a cultural producer across events, festivals, exhibitions, and cultural spaces. Since 2025, she has been part of the XPOSED Queer Film Festival Berlin.
