Merle Groneweg is a film programmer, writer, and cultural worker. They joined XPOSED Queer Film Festival Berlin in 2015 and have since contributed to the festival in different roles, including as a programmer since 2017. In addition, they frequently organize film screenings at other institutions and spaces, including the Lenbachhaus in Munich, Kasseler Dokfest, and Goethe-Institut Taiwan. They have served as a jury member for, among others, the Women Make Waves Film Festival in Taipei and the Bok-o-Bok LGBT Film Festival in St. Petersburg. Apart from organising events for cinephiles, Merle writes for independent media such as Missy Magazin, Jacobin, and analyse&kritik.
