This program highlights the act of imagining, speculating, projecting, and bringing forward our queer knowledge, ancestry, desires, and presence. NO!!! opens with a video call between a young lesbian couple, interrupted by a mother – and tradition. Wouldn’t Make It Any Other Way follows a Chamorro queer costume designer revisiting their hometown in Guam, engaging with local children and reconnecting with their distant parents. Similarly, in Water Hazard, a young girl playfully explores femininity and gender while embracing her love for rock music and understanding of (un)changing body. Mishaps in Spacetime sees the universe as a playground of queer possibilities, documenting Cosmo and their spaceship’s journey onto new horizons and discovering change, trust, and loss of control. Finally, Oceania closes the session as an ode to new voices echoing the legacies of those before them. Through Najib’s accidental access to their late Lebanese neighbor’s memories, we uncover connections that transcend time and biological kinship. These visions invite us, as an audience, to reimagine ourselves anew. “I wanna go, you around it, with somebody new.”

NO!!!
