The XPOSED Queer Film Festival Berlin was founded in 2006 as a passion project – a passion for queer film, its ever expanding possibilities of storytelling, and its community around the globe.

As curators and organizers of this delicate and lively festival in Berlin, it brings us enormous joy to share films of all length and all forms with our audience. We love to invite filmmakers to discuss their vision, and to provide a platform for debate. Each year, we support the production of one short film with the queer short film fund. Apart from the festival, we organize many external screeings in all-over Germany. In the past fifteen years, we have established longstanding ties with filmmakers, other festival makers, and researchers – and of course with you, our most amazing audience.

In 2019, we founded a non-profit organisation in order to put our festival structure on a more solid and financially independent basis. We’d love to invite you to be part of the XPOSED family – by becoming a member and supporting our festival with 30€ per year. In return, you will not only receive a free ticket to a screening of your choice at our festival, but also one or two carefully crafted digital letters each year (and, above all, eternal gratitude).
