Queendom

Queendom

Queendom boldly explores the intersection of drag, politics, and personal courage. At its heart is Jenna, a fearless person navigating the harsh realities of discrimination in Russia. Using drag as both a personal expression and a political statement, Jenna challenges the status quo and protests against the oppressive Russian government and their involvement in the war in Ukraine. Jenna fearlessly confronts injustice, even at the risk of arrest.

She crafts a unique drag style that serves as a powerful medium for queer activism. Her drag performances are characterised by motifs of pain, resistance against dominant narratives of Russian identity, and a sense of otherworldly rebellion. Despite limited resources, Jenna‘s drag creations are nothing short of spectacular, often assembled from little more than junk and tape. Queendom is a testament to the transformative power of self-expression and the resilience of those who dare to challenge societal norms.
