As a festival programmer and previewer, Jamaal has worked for Schwule Filmwoche Freiburg, the sections Panorama, Perspektive Deutsches Kino and Generation at the Berlinale, and has guest-curated, among others, for Filmfest Dresden. Currently, they are a SinemaPlural Fellow for film mediation at Sinema Transtopia and work on the Non-Fiction committee at the Z\u00fcrcher Filmstiftung.
