While we’re still cherishing the memories of the 18th XPOSED Queer Film Festival Berlin, it’s time to announce our second open air summer screening! Join us at Freiluftkino Rehberge on September 3rd for our late summer open air with shorts from this year’s festival. Make sure to come by, say hello and watch these wonderful works of art with us!

Sam (17, German-Ghanaian) and his mother Rita are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their old friend Gifty and her son Kwesi (19, Ghanaian). When Kwesi enters Sam’s life, the two begin to fall in love with each other and Sam begins to question his identity. Their growing connection is threatened by Kwesi’s lack of residency status. Gifty seeks help from Sam’s mother but time is running out and Rita’s efforts cannot prevent the worst.

In the Colombian Caribbean, a group of queer activists practice a militancy that challenges heteropatriarchal norms while engaging in other causes to collectively fight against the various social injustices that plague the region. When the management of the country’s largest coal mine announces a press conference to promote the development of mining, the group prepares to carry out a denunciatory performative action… and resolutely queer.
