XPOSED Pop Up Campus
One of the goals the festival had when creating the Queer Short Film Fund was to foster queer filmmakers in the development and production of their queer short films. Through the XPOSED Pop Up Campus, queer filmmakers will have the opportunity to further develop their projects and engage in intercultural/ transcultural exchange during the annual XPOSED Queer Film Festival Berlin. Development and exchange are important tools that need the proper space and attention in order to foster queer talent and LGBTQIA+ stories.
Producing queer films and developing queer narratives is not easy, especially for BIPOC, disabled, and working class filmmakers, as discriminatory structures prohibit the space and funding needed to support these projects. With the XPOSED Pop Up Campus, we aim to create alternative spaces and programs where filmmakers can work on their artistic and performative content in a safer space and network that supports each other.
Pre-registration for all workshops is required, as places are limited.
